Hey i just done a head gasket to my car i put everything back together but there are 3 wires that arnt connected they are brown located near the distributer i dont know where they connect to also my engine doesnt start there is spark and fuel pumping it cranks but doesnt kick over.

Does anyone know what to do?

They're ground wires. Hook 'em onto any handy bolt on the intake manifold. I recall I have a few on the bracket holding the fuel line to the CSV.

Brown is pretty much invariably a ground.

Also check there is a big copper ground strap. I remembered that later. Mine has (for some reason) two, both going from different points on the intake manifold to the body.

Ok thanks, one more thing i cant seem to be able to connect my thermostat up right what colour wires go into it? At the moment im asuming blue but i got 2 blue wires that can connect and a ground, iv got the ground and one wire connected but dont know where the other wire connects to?

Uhhh... the thermostat is a purely mechanical device, on all cars. Perhaps you mean the thermo-time switch??

Its at the very back of the engine connects to the head

These sit in the flange on the back of the head.
TTS wires (brown connector):
—Red/White
—Green/White

Temp sender VDO 120°C, flathead connection:
—Blue/Yellow

Next to the flange sits the Oil Pressure Switch:
-G—Blue/White
-Wk—Blue/Black

temp sender screws into the intake side of the coolant flange at the back of the head (small brass sensor 10mm with flat round connection that a female spade slots on to)

thermo time switch (TTS) is the sensor that screws into the bottom of the coolant flange
