I´ve just discovered that the floormat under the driver seat and the left rear seat are really moist, I just can´t figure out where the water is coming from....has anyone had the same problem?

darn good question.with a fine darn answer your leaken
from somewhere like the firewall frame points or a hole
somewhere...most likely up high on the firewall and ontop
also like the battery area.

Hmm....ok....right... the firewall you say...could you put it in "stupid european layman" terms perhaps? Or a big nice pic

Poured some water on the roof and hatch, couldn´t spot any direct leakage though.

"Firewall" is just the sheet metal that seperates the engine from the passenger compartment.
It's common to have rust damaged metal near the battery mainly from battery acid leakage, but also just from the seams aging and needing new seam sealer. When the seams and/or metal degrade, there's a path for water to drain onto the floor.
You can also have a seam open up from rust or a drainage tube come loose at the sunroof. there are 4 drainage tubes - one at each corner. A problem here can cause a leak that invisibly trickles down behind the headliner and trim then under the carpet.

Yep, true, polar bear land

The part where it´s most wet is just in front of the rear left seat, probably a leak from back there somewhere. Also the tube in the compartment over (behind) the left rear wheel seems to be cut or something, is it supposed to just end at the bottom of this compartment?

Its strange that is is wet on both sides. I would guess it has to be the rear hatch seal since you dont have a sun roof. I might also want to jack the car up and look for damage underneath.

Well it could be from the master cyl side there
I had a crack there on the seam there where the fender well and firewall meet the cracked ended up exstending all the way into the master cyl,
mounts.

I´ll do some checking of that tomorrow, also I´ve taped the rear hatch ´cause we had rain last night and I´ll see if it still gets wet under there.

Just to clear up, the carpet is moist only on the driver's side, or the passenger side as well? You said driver's seat and left rear seat, so you only mean the driver's side, right?

You may want to check the two round rubber drains for the underhood compartment between the engine bay and the windshield (where the battery, interior fan, and windshield wiper motor are). They easily get clogged and if water pools there it may work its way through a crack and soak the interior carpet. If you are able to find the crack or hole, you should be able to seal it up, but make sure you keep those drains clear or you may have this problem again in the future.

Yep, it´s just the left side that´s wet, mainly back at the rear seat, less so towards the pedals, so it has to come somewhere from there.

Couldn´t believe my eyes today, during the night, some #### had broken in, stole my new fuel pump(which was not yet installed), front Porsche emblem and almost tore my new Momo wheel out....plus carving a bad word in swedish on the hood and a line on the right side with a key. That wheel alone has made me live on bread and water this month, now I need a new pump and probably a paint job as well!

If I ever find the person I´ll make him bleed in so many ways.

Sorry to hear about the vandalisium, that just sucks. I firmly belive that someday everybody gets what they deserve. I know thats not much consolation right now though.

The steering wheel is not ricey at all. I like it, and I would love to be able to have some leg room under the steering wheel.

Thx dude, fortunately I was able to rub the scratches out, took me about four hours in total though. Such a waste. Well, at least it shines a bit better now.
