I am interested in building a 924/944 SCCA E Production car, and have a number of questions after my initial research. First, are the 924D "package" parts still available through anyone? If so, who? What are the parts crossovers to the 944, if any? My current, competitive E Production car makes 205HP, is a similar figure possible? Would it be reliable? Who is the best source for knowledge?
Thank you for your help.

That would suck...
Sure, it was competitive and winning in D-Prod, but a lot of the key stuff is a: not still available (except very expensive used parts, were originally sold from the dealers/Porsche) and b: no longer legal. If I remember correctly, you can't use the turbo head and fuel injection that were critical to the HP numbers. Also remember that, with that head, and 11.3:1 CR, the car only made 186 or so hp. Maybe talk to the guys on the racing rennlist who have the old D-Prod cars left over, like Scott Sanda... they would help put it in perspective...
What weight would the 24 have to be in E-Prod trim? Would it have to be limited-prep, since it was originally a D-Prod car? I'm curious - email me direct...
