Anyone know where do find a boost spring or controller for a nice price? Or any other relatively cheap performance mods for my 1982 931? I appreciate it

define cheap?
First is to up the boost with a
controller
boost spring
spring shims
The old postings and the FAQ has alot of info. The 930 wastegate is identical to the 931 so the parts you need you will find in the 930 (911 turbo).
An intercooler is the next step and it isn't cheap nor easy, but it is the best money spent before heading into engine, turbo and exhaust mods.

I haven't heard the shims idea before, but it makes perfect sense. Get the wastegate apart and just throw on some big washers and compress the spring more...is that the idea?

| yes so it opens later and you don't lose wasted boost. cheaper and more effective. |
