I paid $650.00 Cnd. and drove it home about 8hrs too. Now the fun begins fixing it up. and I join the ranks of everyone here of the love/hate relationship of the 924NA.
Glad to be part of it.
Chris.

£3700 from a friend of mine who I know paid over £7k for it 2 years ago.
It was rebuilt from the ground up a little over 2 years ago and used to be a regular concourse winner. About the only part left of the original engine is the block!
Came with optional sports seats, forged 16x6s, adjustable Konis and sunroof.
It sounds a lot of money, but I've got the receipts for all the work done and they add up to more than I paid for the car and hey, I'm happy with it!
It's used everyday and has never missed a beat. Squeezed 140mph out of it yesterday on the way to Wales with the wife and kids aboard (clear section of the M54) totally stable and loved it! |

£7k ouch, a tad expensive...
but your £3.7K sounds ok for a Turbo.
What amazes me is that you fit the kids in the back. For me, thats just a luggage area

got mine for $3000. it's mechanically perfect, a lovely gaurd's red with a gaurd's pink hood... (faded a little) but other than that, it's been great, and needed about $300 worth of work to be living for a long while. (I.e. timing belts, tune up, etc.) got the sunroof, good wheels. I repainted the black undercoating... and it looks good.

I was a little short and waite for my payday to get 1500 so he says geez we dont want it here 500 bucks and its yours seems they inherited it from a family member and had no use for it. It was centari 74 corvette red and included a bra and those funky pelletts I found in the heater vents. |

I brought mine in dec 1986 for NZ$35,000 - probably about US$17,000. It was a 931 that had been converted to Carrera GT spec with all new GT parts the bill alone for parts cost someone around US$10,000. It's now done 260,000 miles and has been absolutely thrashed and no major engine work has been done.
It will be going back on the track next month just to see if it can still thrash the 911's.
Colour is a non standard GT - Mauritus Blue (a real dark blue and it looks cool in this colour)
Second 931 cost me NZ$4,000 and was a wreck, next 924 cost MZ$1,800 also a wreck, ended up welding the to together. Sold parts from both and ended up with a credit of $2,000. Next 924 cost NZ$500 after I sold the crap that came with it that I didn't want. Still have the GT, the 931 and the 924.

Paid $2000 for my car in Aug. 99. Came with original tool kit, spare, air compressor, sleeve for my sunroof, manual and records. 82K, I am it's third owner. It is an 82 924 non-turbo, Alpine White with either Cadbury or Saddle interior. Original Blaupunkt radio/cassette.
The bad stuff: cracked dash, split seams on seats. No mats. Electric windows okay, but someone stole the buttons on the driver side door (cost to replace: $60). Latches on manual sunroof and sunvisors all broken (cost to replace: $100 for everything). Needed new clutch ($900 for parts and labor). Needed new tires (Dunlops, about $350). Put in new alternator and timing belts just to be sure with oil change and inspection ($180 for all).
Since then the only thing I needed was a new thermostat ($60 parts and labor), and basic care (inspections, oil changes, new tires... Coopers this time).
I am now having my new muffler put on, which Vince sent (it's a Flowmaster). Then the K&N air filter. I have finished my chip repairs, and they came out fine.
Now... to get a nice set of real Porsche mats, a dash cover, and either good seat covers or new seats.
I didn't buy this car to be thrifty, that's for sure!!! I keep all my receipts and repair records, in case I ever do want to sell it. I'd really love to own a mid-70s 911, but I will probably never be able to maintain a car whose parts are that expensive.
So, in the meantime, I have my 924. |

| That sounds like the dealer price. It's not a lot to pay if you want to buy ones that will work for sure. Switches for my Intrepid were more. |
