I'm going to use one of these kits and can't find a good indication of how much loctitie 542 to use on the cast iron distributor halves. Obviously don't want to create a clog. Do I smear it just around the outer edge or do I run it between each cavity?

I put it sparingly on both halves and scrape it with a razor blade so that it's very thin on both halves. Keep it out of the holes.
