My 77 seems to hesitate or chug when running at constant speed. Has anybody seen this?

My '77 Martini does the same thing. I would be interested in knowing as well.

Mine has dont the same thing. After I done all the fuel systems test I found it to be a defective.............

Buy the books and do the test described. This way you will save lots of money by not:

1. Paying a mechanic to figure it out

2. Shotgun parts hoping to fix it

3. Wasting money on parts not needed.

The book by Charles Prosbt is the best.

How is your cam?

Not saying this is the issue. It could be many things much simpler, but my
1982 924 did the same thing and it was due to #2 cylinder exhaust cam lobe being badly worn.
