Yes I can see them now.
It's great that you heard from Jurgen, a great guy. I actually was going to contact him shortly as we haven't been in touch for a bit.

Thanks for the extra photos, and did the car arrive home yet?

Cheers!

Interesting that it was one of the VERY first cars, yet it was running 5 stud.

It was prepared with amongst other things 928 Brakes and strengthened upgraded shocks for the 19000km rally- they enhanced the car to do the job, including the hubs brakes rims etc.

Would you be willing to share any details about the suspension setup, publicly or privately?

Contemplating a similar build from one of my 82 931 donor cars.

Questions:
- Spring rate?
- Torsion bar size?
- Dampers?
- Ground clearance?
- Tires?
- What size Fuchs are those?

Sure- when it get's home here I'd be happy to. The file that came with the car even has (in German) extensive diagrams and notations of the modifications that were made on the car including some hand drawn and written setup and modification changes. Gotta decipher these, too.

Love this pic, taken by Blake Jones via Speedhunters, right at the end of the evening Iconic Photo session when the Rallye was the last car on the track and resting in it's position at the end of the line of 36 cars just before being put back away....didn't make the you tube clip though !

Photographer was in the right place at the right time.

Enjoy.

I am somewhat surprised that the ride height appears to be even a little lower than stock. I would have expected a little more gap at the arches. I'd be very interested in understanding the suspension setup.

I was lucky enough to spend a bit of time with this car at the Targa NZ in 2006 - pics here http://www.groundsky.co.nz/index.php?Action=VEN&EventCode=0612&EntrantID=187
