| Why don't you start by telling us what you've checked/found/replaced so far.... |

you may need a psychiatrist for that...
no really it sounds like the switch mechanism in the steering column might have misplaced one of its contacts...
could be the washer contact not decontacting correctly, if its bent or jammed with a foreign conductive object..
or a short between wires, less likely I believe..
maybe a jammed relay..
does it stop when you pull the relay?
key on off?
witch speed? intermittent?
does changing the lever on the stalk have any effect what so ever? _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

It's only when the key is on and it's very slow speed and I haven't pulled the relay I'll do that and check everything else! Thank you _________________ In love with my 1977 924 |

you do know that the lever all the way down position isn't all the way off right? I admit I didn't and thought something was crazy..
think one down, five up... like a motorcycle transmission, neutral is between first and second...
gear pattern compared to wipers..
6
5
4
3 fast as shell go (not that impressive)
2 first steady speed
N OFF
1 slow/intermittent (actually pauses between strokes)
yeah its weird..
and hopefully that's your problem, best case scenario _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

yeah I just went through all of that mess, even had some custom wiper wiring with 2 3 way toggle switches that some PO did and I had to ditch..
that lever all the way down thing had me crazy.. I even rebuilt the mechanism in the stalk switch and I thought I must have messed something up real bad...
turns out... just a silly lever, that's all _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

The wipers have always been slow...think there is dry grease in the motor, I was going to tear it apart when I found. Spare. _________________ 77 924
