Hi,

I telephoned PorscheShop (www.porscheshop.co.uk) 2 weeks ago with the same question, they sold me a thermostat marked at 80c, I haven't tried it yet, but the one in the car is marked at 87c, so this should be an improvement.

Yes, there is! There's an 87 deg C thermostat, and an 82 deg C thermostat. Same part number, but if I recall correctly the 82 deg unit has a "B" at the end of the part # vs. an "A".

Sorry, I don't have the part numbers offhand. However, if you go to a dealer I imagine they should be able to find it by looking it up...

HTH...

What sorta success do each of you guys get with your different temps? Sometimes the lowest doesn't always keep the car cool because it's always open :-)

I got a _BIG_ radiator... so, I don't need one of them there thermo-thinggies... heh

- Jon (I think 87 degree's???)

Jon, Hows the big rad work in stop and go, and on the highway/track? What's it from or did
you have a rad shop put in an extra core? There seems to be two schools of thought ie. an
extra core or larger for more frontal exposure. Ciao, Dwak

The cooler one works beautifully on the street in the summer, and on the track all summer running hard and fast... well, as fast as my 924 will go!

When I ran the car on the street, I did find myself wanting the warmer one in the winter... this be Northeast winters...
