No, Sorry, Just No.

it doesnt work with out the flares.

I think the problem people forget about the 924 is that it was designed of the 928, thats why it has that round, egg or bullet shape. Where as the 944 is more square with rounded corners. so the 951 bumper doesnt match up to the 924 lines.

Well, my car is actually not a 924 anymore. During the build of this front, it turned into a 926

Anyway, I think that the 951 front shape matches the 924 body well (off course.....), it is a bit more round than the ordinary 944 front. There is a yellow 924 somewhere, with a V8, where the front fenders has been altered, so an early 944 front valance can be attached as it would on the 944. I think that car somehow looks to narrow, so that's why I kept the front a bit wider than the fenders.

I especially appreciate this angle. This has turned out, more or less like I wanted.

There is something 80's German styling over this. At least I think.....

Over time, we have been way to used to seeing flush bodypanels. On cars today, you cannot see where the bumper stops and the fender begins. I don't think it hurts if you can.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....

Its very interesting how you choose to do this.
I cant decide if i like it or not.
More pics of the whole car might help.

I like it. I would not do this mod on my car but i like it and i think it would look complete with the side skirts and rear valance from one of those special edition S kits.
Raceboy has one on his white 924.

This is a very rare 1976 car? Why make it look more modern/racey when its inherent value is in it being a rare early 924?

I'd be putting on original steel wheels, removing the spoiler and front bumper for starters.

This?

Need to see it from the front. It looks bolted on, rather than an integral part of the car. But to morghen's point, I think it would look good with either the OEM LeMans kit or the AIR side skirts that have little integral flares at the wheel arches. It would then need the rear mud flaps to complete the look.

There is a picture of the car, seen from the front, on the previous page.

This is a 1976 car, first registered January 1976, so it's probably built in late 1975. I'm only doing bolt-on body modifications, no cutting, so it can be brought back to original.

You will notice that the filler cap is not original for this vintage. The right side of the car has been changed at some point.

I like the styling of the 924, don't mind that it's a narrow body, but there are a few things I would like to change. Now the front is done. I have seen Raceboy's rear diffuser (924 S type) I have one of those already, but there is something wrong with it, it fits terrible. So I need to do some fiberglass and sanding work on that one. It is made of fiberglass, so fiberglass will bond to it.

With this one, I don't need the rear mud guards.

And finally, yes Ideola, sideskirts. Those from AIR with flairs at the wheel arch looks great. I just fear that they also fit terribly and I have to do a lot of custom work to make them fit properly.

Looks awesome ... How heavy is that angle iron? Just joking. Flush mounted and narrow would look cool. Good job now enjoy it.

Thanks Joe.

The low front is cause by lowering springs and a heavier engine. The clearance between the ground and the spoiler lip is 4 inches (100 mm)

I really like this low-rider style, but I'm still knocking my head against the wall for throwing the original springs out. It wouldn't harm if the front was one inch higher. I'm extremely careful when going over speedbumps in the city.

That is a 944 piece. . .I don't believe there was ever a 924 diffuser.
