| You know the glue that held the bubble wrap under the hood, the glue is all over, I'm thinking Goo Gone, but anything else? This stuff is really old. |

Nothing works very good. I used gas with 2 stroke oil but I did a complete strip and repaint. I think Mr. billygoat is on the right track, solvent such as acetone lacquer thinner, gasoline just turns it into a gooey mess. I would try some WD40 to break the adhesion. Also here is a long shot, after all the foam is scraped off put a piece of sticky tape on it and see I that will pull it off. _________________ 1980 924 N.A. Monaco Blue owned since 1987

I know on lotus cars where they use ultra sticky double sided tape people usually recommend bug and tar remover stuff from Auto Glym and the like. _________________ Trust, Then Verify |

I did not tell him to say this. I was hoping Rasta would. |

Before
Almost after, going to work on it some more tomorrow.
I used a rag at first, but after a lot of useless scrubbing, I gave up and went and found this. I use these to clean gaskets off of blocks, worked pretty good. I just sprayed some Goo Gone for a cleaner where I was working on and a little a head to let it soak and it seems to be working pretty good. I might end up just repainting it eventually, well see.
