Came accross this pic and can't tell what bumper it is. Bumper looks right but the rubber strip looks wrong. Any ideas ?

Looks like a 944 Euro rear bumper. Here's one I found and sold a couple years ago:

+1 Grenadiers OP ImageShack photo seems to match various images of this Euro 944 rear bumper: http://www.944online.com/cgi-bin/ASI_Store.cgi?Product+skukey_1140213642

Esp. this close-up from that page:

Well ,will this fit a 924 is the question. Im guessing not because of the wider rear of the 944. Also I believe the 944 rear bumper is actually aluminum instead of grp like the 924.

Rear bumper for 944 S2 / Turbo, 86—91
…the ones that have the rear valance.
Curious if the rubber strip would fit the 924 bumper?

Cheers,
Harm.

Offhand, I wouldn't think so because the end-contours seem different to me, but I find it puzzling that this fiberglass 924/944 bumper from the FSH Factory was apparently manufactured to fit both models:

No, it won't fit, I had both bumpers at the same time, and they were different.

Beg to differ, the 944 turbo/S2 bumper strip will fit a 924.......got one on mine and it looks awesome Not sure if the basic molding of the American bumper is different to ROW ? Had to drill new holes for the mounting studs but that was it, went strait on

Spliffy I think what Grenadiers meant was that the bumper for a 944 wont fit a 924. Its grest to know that the rubber strip fits, good info brother as these must be waaay more available than the ones for the 924.
