I am a project manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Been there 31 years and am eligible to retire and maybe I should after reading some of the posts from the retired guys! I have a degree in landscape architecture of Iowa State University that I somehow parleyed into a job traditionally held by civil engineers, long story but it works for everyone. Good job and good people to work with but ridiculous and mind numbly stupid bureaucracy to deal with.
Latest project is restoring my old 1954 John Deere pedal tractor to its original glory so my grandnephew can have fun with it like I did back in the days of black and white photos.

Well its been a long time since i posted here...
I used to read this site when i was in high school...
For the last 6 Years i have been a Porsche Tech, I went to NTI (Campus of UTI that has Nascar) and was able to get into the Porsche Program - only take 20-30 people a year- and Porsche was the reason i went, I still find it hard to believe i made it! And yes the "Job" is a blast! This week i had a "First".... I drove a Cayman R through the shop door.....
Hobbies... I have a 85.5 944 with a LS1 that i have been building for a long time, trying to be different though and make it really clean.

I'm surprised I haven't posted here yet.
I'm a twenty-something year old Software Developer. I don't really work on anything terribly interesting, just web-based staffing software (think Monster.com). All Microsoft technology. I'm all self-taught; never stepped one foot in college and never plan to.
Music and cars are my two main passions. I've always loved tinkering with older cars and making them run better. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I bought my 931.. I didn't actually buy my 931 because I wanted a Porsche. Quite frankly, I don't even like Porsche, it just met my needs at the time. _________________ Brian
