Rennlist re-did their discussion boards and they are actually really nice. You can make icons of your cars and post pictures easily. There are practically empty 924 and 931 boards for those who don't want to deal with the 944/968 crowd.

Vaughan, I know you have said before that this board is a pain to keep up with. Why not let Rennlist do the admin work? Also this FrontPage board is a bit clunky, no fault of anyone but Mr. Gates.

Maybe we should move over? Just my thoughts...

Hey, why ask me, it's not up to me anyway! It's you're guys' decision where you post. Frankly, I wouldn't be offended... then I might have time to improve the website...

Checked it out, they look pretty nice... it is using the same engine I'd wanted to use, but couldn't afford...

this site links to teh FAQ, it has a unique name (924.org!) rennlist does not have any FAQ on 924s or any info, rennlist bites compared to this IMO.

good point about the FAQ...

One note, I've received word that the update to pca.org should be coming soon. One of the parts of the update is supposed to be disco boards, I believe. I have to go check it out. Anyway, as the official PCA 924 Register, we expect to be worked together with them (but _NOT_ assumilated). As such, we should be able to upgrade to a better discussion board that we have some control of (as far as layout) but that they administer. This at least is what we're hoping for.

Don't worry, I won't be closing this board just yet

I agree about keeping the 924.org moniker. There is a ton of info on this site and it is an invaluable resource.

How about something like this:

http://www.geocities.com/bcookt06394/ebay/test.htm

Putting the Rennlist board in a frame can keep the 924.org Garage header, but the board is running on Rennlist's server. I don't know about the legality of it, but it's an idea!

Very cool! I love it!

However, since I'm not a jerk, and John D.'s a cool guy, I will check with him first to see if that'd be OK... maybe in a slightly different form, so he keeps his banners and all...

If he agrees, I'm going to probably need a little help with the coding, that's pretty trick stuff I haven't seen yet...

Response from John D. was good... something should be forthcoming next week...

I'm off (again) for the weekend... too busy, two weekends ago was fetching the 931 from Atlanta, then last weekend was Montreal for F1, now off to Florida... I'm beat!

Later...

Getting a nice 931, going to GPs, trips to Florida! You poor, overworked person!

Just you guys wait until we get an Austin F1 Grand Prix. Maybe a WRC Rally.

A Rennlist site needs to be dedicated to 924's and 931's. These cars
have different needs than the 944 and the 968. If it cannot be let this site
remain.
