Are there different rear trim panels or did the little cast ally catch thingos that secure the rear seat back change?
My 77 has the rear seat catch screwed on with 2 countersunk screws and has 2 corresponding holes in the rear trim panel. They are about 1/2"diameter and spaced roughly 1 1/2"apart.
Then came across these trim panels that have one single large hole, appears to be 1 - 1.5" in diameter. Without measuring, it does not look like the early? seat back catch will fit or cover the entire hole.
Hence the question. Can anyone offer an explanation? |

The ones with the big hole are from a later car or a 944. They went to a different rear seat latching mechanism (the push button). You can use them still, but you will notice the hole when the seats are down. _________________ 1980 924 NA

Thanks BB.
Had a suspicion it was something like that.
Have removed the rear seat back and think I`ll keep it that way for a while. Now I need to find something useful to block the holes with. |
