Does anyone sell a rebuild kit for the fuel distribitor? I took a spare one apart and it doesen't look that hard to rebuld I just can't get the center tube out but I haven't tried very much. Thanks.

i don't know if it's true or not, but i've always heard that they're not rebuildable and you can't exchange parts between two identical distributors. the reason given is that they are machined to such tight tolerances that the plunger is made to fit the individual distributor its going in. please correct me if i'm wrong so i don't buy a new one when mine finally gets clogged up.

You can buy rebuilt exchange units in the UK but you can't buy the spares. When they're rebuilt you need dedicated equiptment to set them up.

often the problem is contamination, and the unit doesn't need rebuild, but cleaning. While its usually not advised, You can do it yourself if you are very careful and know what you are doing, especially to avoid leaks after re-assembly..
