Yeah Crenan, that sounds like fun, though past experience tells me we would tend to do more talking then wrenching. My goal is to have the work done by next meeting but knowing the way these things go...
In any case, if not my car then perhaps some of the other guys have little things that need attention. I have most necessary tools and room in the driveway to accommodate 6 or 7 cars. I'm usually home by 6:00P.M. and Friday's are my stay up late nights so guys could drop by at their convenience.
Let me know what the collective thinks. As further inducement I'm close to all 3 Tims in St Albert. _________________ Doodle

Alright guys, this sounds doable, lets bang down the date for the next one, everybody weigh in with what Friday's are good.
For me the next closest one would be Friday June 19th... _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan

How about a meeting in Calgary at the European Field Meet July 18? I should be there with one of the cars, though I cannot guarantee that it would be the S2. The Edmonton Classic Sportscar guys usually run a convoy down. While you guys were meeting I was (litererally) chasing a UPS truck for the hydraulic seals that they had shipped across the border three times. I was trying to get a car ready for the All British Field Meet. _________________ 1967 912

That's an excellent idea. I won't be able to make it, but I fully encourage for the other guys, and I'll do it next year. This year that day specifically is out for me unfortunately.
Phil, Brock, Scott, how does Friday June 19 look for a gathering at Doodle's? Pretty sure that date works for Power Tryp. We can maybe help with a bit of troubleshooting on the overheating. More eyes are better than less. Phil, Brock and me and cruise from the city to St Albert. Scott, I think I remember you are in the sticks outside the city. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Yeah, Unfortunately Chrenan June 19 is the only Friday that doesn't work for me. _________________ Doodle

PM'd every one, so we can do this the right way, takes to long to use the fourm only, but you get that nice little reminder in the email when you get a pm.
Sorry if I sound a little harsh with it, but I'm so excited I want to meet you guys and learn some things and spread what little I might know.
Speedster who runs that euro field meet? I'd love to know so I can plan for that.
Also I'm going to come up with the date for the High River show and shine, it's a pretty big event now and it's my home town so I'll be there just don't want to have the only 924 there.

OK, Phil, Brockoli, Justin and I tested out a new meet last night. Lots of fun, happens every second Wednesday with a group from Eurodrivers.ca. Very low key and casual. Nice variety of cars. Should be a good regular occasion for the 924 guys to get together.
Location is at the Legislature Grounds, in a parking lot on the West side of the Terrace Building (red box below).
I'll contact these folks before Wednesday June 24:
Brockoli

philProject.D.
Power Tryp
Slam
speedster9110
KoenigsTiger (old Beetle)
Phil (Scirroco)
Brockoli's neighbour (928)
Let me know if there is anyone I am forgetting. If anyone knows of other interested folks with interesting Euro cars, feel free to invite them.
Turnout last night, took pictures early, quite a few more showed up:

I ran the End of Summer euro meet for three years, it got too big and crazy last year so I have something new on the books.... _________________ 1967 912
