Hi, I'm new here.

I've just bought a 1979 924.
I'd like to mount my Thule roof box on the roof.

I already have a Jetbag and 125cm length bars and #951 feet for my other car.
So I would buy new feet and maybe bars.

I've searched the web and found that Fit kit 034 is for 924 but it seems no longer available.

Anyone know compatible fit kit or any shop sells 924 roof rack?

Takashi

You may be able to take the part numbers to your friendly local Porsche dealer and see if any of the racks are still available. Many of the part numbers cross over to the 944 and 928, so I'd be you could still buy one of these factory accessories. If not, maybe the pictures will help you sort out which setup will work with your Thule box. Good luck.

Thank you for the information!

I'd try to ask nearest Porsche Japan dealer.

We don't have many Japanese members, you should post some pictures of your 924 and also your Super Beetle when you have time.

I got a set of Thule rack in Japan!
Used but good condition.

Added ski mount and a pair of ski.

Well, actually I don't ski

It's Thule Fit Kit 034.
This kit fits for 950 feet.
I don't remember what length the bars are.

I bought them on Yahoo Auction as set of fit kit 034, 950 feet and bars.
The seller probably owned some Porsche before.
I was very lucky.

Hmmm,

After more complete inspection....
Does the aft support only attach under the roofrail?

Duncan.- Yes it does, all of the weight is carried by that rubber-foot pieces.
Watch out, max. load should not exeed 75 Kg.

The square rods going from left to right will be long and you may want to cut them. Thule rods have rubber caps so it is not a problem.
