What is the stock horsepower of a 1981 931?

I'm reading anywhere from 147 to 177 depending on the site... I just picked up a running 81 931 for $500 and can't wait to play with it!

177HP would be a damn good start if it were true

maby if you were in europe and the car was one year younger....anyways you would be dreaming...as we use euros here and you wont get a car like that for that money.

$7 manual boost controller and a tin snips and a couple hose clamps can get you to 177 hp.

1981-1982 M31/03 engine Euro/RoW = 177hp

1981-1982 M31/04 engine US/Canada/Japan = 156hp
