Having decided to find a second hand waste gate to try and rebuild, does anyone know of a link to an exploded view of the 931 wastegate (1980)

cheers

I'll try and get a going on the wastegate rebuild project. There isn't anything to it and I even think I outlined it at one time here on the board.

While you have yours apart I would like to correspond as I would like you to take some measurements if possible

Yep. But it's not what you need to rebuild. You're gonna need to know more. Lemme know where you're at and folks can guide you along.

Porsche didn't provide exploded diagrams of the wastegate, perhaps because they sell the unit as a whole unit.

I've sent the dimensions directly to Bob but if anyone wants the diemsions of the spring it is as follows:
sprung spring length, 6.70 inches (170mm)
coil diameter (Outside dia) 2.74 inches (69.60mm)
coil diameter (Inside dia) 2.34 inches (59.44mm)
link (wire) diameter, 0.25 inches (5.72mm)

pick a point of reference and count the coils for the
entire length. 7.5 turns (top to bottom)
