| Hi everyone! I just bought a 1977 924 and I know absolutely nothing about them, I bought it for $500 so it obviously needs work..I was wondering if anyone had any tips about anything and everything you know.. Also maybe where I could get parts for it. Thanks. |

Hi and welcome!
I think you may need to be a little more specific! There are a million and one tips that everyone could give you, but none of them may be relevant to you and your car.
Sorry, but being across the pond I wouldn't be able to recommend anywhere for you to get parts. _________________ Pete

Welcome.
Tip of the day (month, year)...
Try the search. Link is at the top of the page. You can also search the posts using Google by using the advanced search and entering 924board.org in the "return results from the site or domain".
Tip two...
Click the "924 FAQ (Technical)" and "924 Technical Section" links at the top of the page and get familiar with what's there. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

Ahh, nice, I didn't even see that, thanks. Also could I ask if anyone knows if a 82' 944 Hatch will fit on my 77 924? It looks the same to me i'm not sure though. And another thing, I am redoing the console I found, just sanding a little and gunna paint it and was just wondering what type of paint I use, because I know regular spray paint never looks good and in hot weather it usually gets all sticky or stays sticky all the time. _________________ 1977 924 - sold

The hatch will fit...you can buy interior trim paint in a spray can. Good luck and welcome. _________________ 1976 924

Welcome to the world of 924's....a whole new world for those who don't know....
I bought my '77 924 out of Texas...paid $625 for it and drove it home...well, almost all the way home before I lost power and had to replace a few parts. It's still chugging along, though. |

Welcome guys. Good to see people taking up the challenge. When you get them running right, they are really nice little cars. _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |

I have only had my 924 for just over a week, they fetch/cost good money here in the UK mine cost me £1400 sterling and still needs work doing to it, best i could find though, without spending over £2-££k. Just replaced the handbrake ratchet as the original had rounded off and would no longer catch.
They cost money to maintain but are sure worth the time, effort and cost involved. |

Cool, welcome! Desolation, I highly recommend Paragon for parts; not only are they excellent parts and service - they're in Corpus Christi! So you shouldn't have to wait the week for parts like I do! LOL _________________ Vaughan Scott
