Hi. I have an 81 931 and I have read that the change from series 1 to series 2 occured during that model year. How can I determine which it is ? Was DITC only on S2?

1981s are S2, and yes only the S2 got the DITC,

the easiest way to tell is if you have a single butterfly throttlebody or a dual butterfly,
S1 had the dual
