Google? Rennlist?
I was about to launch into a scientific comparison of "chips" and snake-oil but then I got bored.
As I was about to hit "Submit" I thought "Is there any difference between the programming of the 924S ECU and a NA 944 ECU? Did Porsche reduce the output of the 924S compared to the 944 by giving it more conservative fueling or ignition? What would happen if you actually put a 944 EPROM or processor (I don't know if the 924S/944 has a separate EPROM) into a 924S". Then I thought "Does the Easter Bunny really exist?" and realised I just don't know. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

I suppose its the same.... I doubt that porsche was in the mood for changing over a stupid lil processor when they were just trying to off the car and get rid of the extra parts...
Thanks, yea thats where I was looking I just wasnt sure if there were any that were especialy good, or especialy bad...
i stand corrected, ESC944 posted this
| Quote: | | Ok so no the engines are not the exact same, neither is the chip in the ECU, | he was posting on puttinga 944 turbo into a 924s... |

just look on ebay, i got one for my 1988 924s on there, and make sure its the 28 pin chip, i had to send mine back and get a new one from the guy. an authority chip is about $50, and to tell you the truth, i didn't really notice an improvement...(mine wasnt authority though) also its a relatively easy install, about 30 mins (the second time i had to open up the box though i was done in 15) _________________ Black 1988 924S SE
