Dont worry about how it looks, just make sure the mechanicals are in good order, and your golden..this wont be a fashion show! weve all got old cars, some of em are pretty, some not so much, who cares? we dont own these cars to make a fashion statement..if we wanted that, wed all be driving something much different..

I for one would like to see a "rally " of some sort, but I would like to see it culminate at some type of event. Like maybe at the PCA Parade at Hershey, Porsche Funfest, a GTS Challenge race at Mid Ohio, or maybe even Paul's X-Mas tree bonfire party on the 4th of July. Some kind of gathering of the 24's would be great, but to justify the miles, and to make it more than a BS session would be awesome.

Not sure.
I could put togather a course with several different stages that could include: Hwy 129 (the dragon), Cherohala Skyway, The Great Smokies National Park & The Blue Ridge Parkway.

That would be great to have you all for the tree burning, especially if we require everyone to show up with a brown Christmas tree strapped to the roof!

Paul, my shop is right up the street from a X-Mas tree farm. You want me to bring a few trees with me? I refuse to put them on my freshly painted (by then it will be) car but I have a trailer hitch assembly and can tow a small trailer full of trees.

BTW Yes, I have a custom made trailer hitch assembly for the 924, complete with wire harness. It bolts in to the bumper shock locations.

Eventually I want to make a small trailer someday using the ass end of a 924, but fashion it like the Turbo Break. I think that would be cool for hauling tailgating supplies to some of the events and races.

Anyone else have a trailer hitch assembly for the 924? Or want one?

Back in 77 I towed my boat with my then new 924 using a class I bumper hitch from JC Whitney.

I'd be willing to bet this is the same hitch set up. It was on a car when I got it, and appears to be from the era. It is pretty sweet how they made it work with the bumper.

My two cents worth.......Lets hold our gathering at Hershey. Pretty much centrally located for us East coasters. About 3 hours from NYC. I intend to bring two of my cars if this comes off.

We might be interested in bringing our fleet of 924's to the Blitzkrieg GTS Challenge at Mid Ohio in August. We had a blast there and even got some awards even though it was our first time on the track.

Otherwise Hershey is about 2 hours from us and we could bring both cars and the PORSCHE-IT support truck.
