|
|
Since this has come up a few times, and I never can find the reference when I need it, I'm posting here for posterity's sake:
This is what I ordered when I replaced the vacuum lines on my 941 with silicone replacements from Hose Techniques:- 20138-001-110 SVH by the foot 3.5 mm Inside Diameter SpecJetBlack: 10 feet
- 20500-001-110 SVH by the foot 12.7 mm Inside Diameter JetBlack: 6 feet
- 20750-001-110 SVH by the foot 19.0 mm Inside Diameter JetBlack: 3 feet
- 70001-603 Accessories Super HoseCutter
- .56F.075-356-110 Silicone Turbo Hose-90° Elbow-JetBlack Gloss Finish
FWIW, I should have order probably double the 12.7mm, as I didn't have enough to replace the charcoal canister lines.

Nope. Let me see what I ordered for my 81 NA...
...the archives say 10 feet of 10mm and 10 feet of 4mm. Apparently, I didn't replace the really large 19mm stuff with silicone, I think I just used some standard heater hose that was close enough. Not sure, I can't check as the car is not at the house presently. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

OK, thanks. I tried doing some searches and all I could find were 931 and 944 info (using google too). Has anyone listed and/or mapped out the exact hoses that should be replaced. I just want to make sure I'm replacing everything that needs to be replaced and not replacing something that shouldn't be.

My apologizes for resurrecting an old thread but had a couple of questions.
Above you have stated 10 ft of 4mm and the kit here (http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/944VACUUMLINE.html)mentions 5/32" (3.9 mm) hose. I've seen other places mention they used 3mm. Any preference for the NA.
Anyone out there do a vacuum hose replacement on their NA and have any additional ideas on what they used? _________________ 1977 924 N/A Martini Edition |

hey Rasta is this the hard vaccum hose, or the very flexible silicon...
I definately prefer the harder stuff as some of the silicon stuff colapses under high vaccuum. It also clamps down better and doesn't split.

Flexible. Just got rid of my small cloth covered hoses (and those flipping clamps). . .what a pleasure. _________________ Toofah King Bad
