Vaughan
How did you do
at Mid Ohio last weekend?
Line broke on off of head pipe
Can I put it and remove the egr line and will it be ok
or do I buy a new header pipe and line or what
What would be a good fix
Dave

Hey, did pretty well...
first race started 28th, finished 26th (out of a field of 31 ITA cars)
Second race, started 26th, finished 21st... heavy attrition...
Car's fine, no major issues or damage... well, actually, have to replace a driveshaft as one CV boot got cut, have to replace the waterpump as I smoked the bearing on it due to overtightened alternator belt, have to re-weld the spherical bearing insert in my A-arms as a weld snapped loose, and I have to corner-weight the car (then realign it) to get rid of a bit of wedge that's currently there, to improve the handling...

I also have to switch that cam key around, to advance the cam 4 deg instead of retard, get the power working down lower... wasn't happy with the way I ran it at Mid-O...

I don't quite understand your question - what line is snapped? Please restate...

Mu Martini had a boken EGR pipe (untill Vaughan sent me a replacement). Cut the pipe off and slide the giant nut off. I then stacked some pennies in it and globbed hi-temp silicone in it. Screw it back on and viola!

You will bave to make a block off plate to cover the opening when you remove the EGR valve assy on top.

Michael
