| I know how you feel, it snowed here in Sidney a couple days ago. Two kids died yesterday and today in seprete car crashes relating to the ice. My boss's son knows the guy and although I didn't meet him went to the same school at the guy. They need to teach skid avoidence and skid recovery in the graduated licensing program. |

we dont have Ice we have slush, and when a little $h*t throws a snowball at you, then you back up and then put it in gear and pick the gas and spray them with a rooster tail. _________________ 3 928s, |

I'm guessing the title refers to the price of snow tires for those wide 928 wheels

| My driving test lasted 5 mins and I didn't even go on the highway. I could have dozed off and still passed. |

What is snow like? I've heard about it before but haven't seen it.
8:30 PM 61 degrees F. I think I'll take the twisty route to the store and check this thread when I get back.
Rubbin it in,

Golly gosh, whats wrong with Texas??
(This is the "sucker line" which draws in the weak minded to spout off their stereotypical concept of what Texas is like, don't let this stop you as you may convince me that I am actually living in a backwards, closed minded, rural state).
By the way, let it fly... I don't easily get offended. _________________ '84 944

Having been in Austin when there was ice, I think I'll take my several feet of snow, thank you. At least when it comes to driving. It's been raining, but now turning to snow, here.

By the way, I was just kidding about not knowing what snow is like. I used to live in Couer 'd Alene Idaho where it would snow before Halloween every year, that is a distant (but fond) memory.
If there is ice or snow here it is usually gone in a day or two. They don't use salt so for the most part the cars stay in good shape except for the sun baked interiors. Fortunately for me my 924s' PO had garage kept the car and the windows were tinted VERY dark.
As far as being in Texas, Augidog, it's no Newark, but it will have to do, even without any snow.
As far as Buda being the center of the universe, there is some controversey. "Hills and Dales Icehouse" also claims to be the center of the Universe and it is only a few blocks from my house so I will have to side with them until proven wrong. _________________ '84 944

One of the problems with Texas is hitting Armidillios at 70 MPH.... _________________ 1981 924 NA
