Are there any aftermarket blanks that will work for the 924, maybe in stainless steel? The keys I have are identical to the keys in that picture, but they're pretty soft, and they twist easily... _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

If you care, you can get a key blank with a Porsche symbol embossed into a round rubber section. That's what I have for my '80 924. _________________ Jon Furst |

That's exactly what I had, was too busy admiring another 924 in a car park many miles from home, put my key in the passenger door and turned it... my wife says the look of horror on my face was classic as i realised the key was bust then turned to her and asked if she had the spare on her.... smart arsed b*tch gave it "ohh, i don't know, i'll look" - knowing fine well that she always carries it |

Don't go bidding now!
There should be a law, that once posted on this site, that no 924 board member can bid against another one. |

If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, get the keyhead with the light!
I received two of them as gifts and they are pretty cool... _________________ -Stu

I believe I paid about $10 for the blank with the Porsche symbol, but this was about 5 years ago, so I could be mistaken. If you just need a key to survive, you can usually get a suitable replacement at most hardware stores that cut keys, since the key is shared by a lot of VW and Audi models. _________________ Jon Furst |
