Spotted a red 924 a couple of times on an advert for a show on Discovery Home and Leisure.. think it's the "Wheeler Dealers" show.... Last night they were working on a Capri but I missed the show... I've checked the listings on Sky and on their site, can't see when the next show is and I can't find anything saying when/if the 924 will actually be one of the cars looked at...
The show is about restoring/running/maintaining "modern classic" cars, be a nice switch if it wasn't all Capri's, Mk1 Escorts, MGB's, Stag's etc etc etc...
If anyone's got anymore info, let me know will ya... i've mailled discovery channel to ask the details if they have them and i'll post any info i get.
Quick debate - if you couldn't have your P car, what other car from that era would you want, that would be within realistic attainability... I'd have to go for the Vauxhall Chevette HS/HSR 2.3 I owned 2 chevettes (never an HS/HSR though sadly), our last one was a 2 door saloon (coupe) modified to hell and it's one of the easiest cars to work on and was damned good fun for very little money at the time... rarely see any now though |

Sorry Stu, couldn't help it. Beetles are pretty sweet, actually... on the way back from school, I always end up driving by an old guy in a lowered and customized bug, it's quite nice.
I'd probably have to say an Alfa Romeo GTV, probably a 2000

When I was in college, I dated a girl that had a bright yellow super beetle cabrio that we used to take to the beach and everywhere else. I loved driving that car (even more than my Nova) and the fun and the memories will never fade...
Worst part about breaking up with the girl was giving up that car _________________ -Stu
