Thanks for reading this, and possibly helping. Questions: 1)There is oil in my air cleaner box,but no exhaust smoke. Is this a PCV problem?Where is it located? 2) Can the timing be set by carefully turning the dist. cap while car is running? 3)Is the looseness in my 5 spd. a bushing problem, more than likely? 4) Would it be a hassle to take air conditioning unit from one 1978 924 to another? 5)Whats the best way to clean the cold start injector? Please help if you can with these questions, and remember me when you need 924 spares,as I have a lot(2 cars worth)

I've got some answers to your questions but not for all of them.
#2 Yes, you can fine tune the timing by twisting the distributor while the car is running. This tuning is limited though so mainly you want it set as close as possible on the belt itself.

#4 Which part of the AC are you trying to move? If it's just the compressor it's a piece of cake, but if you want to move an entire system over to a car that has no AC at all it'll be a pain in the ass.

#5 To clean out any gummed up fuel part I've found that soaking in acetone works wonders. you may not want to soak the entire injector in acectone but you could probably run some through it and then leave whatever is in it to soak for a few days and that should get it pretty clean.

Good luck
