I've been having problems with cold starting on my 1980 931.Cold start injector is working but today I found I have no power at the aux air regulator when ignition is turned on.
The way I understand this is that it is tied into the Fuel pump relay. Is there anything else it could be?
Is it just me or is the section in Haynes manual on testing fuel pump relay confusing as hell.
Where is the 16amp fuse that Haynes refers to in chapter 3 section 18. Is it not with all the other fuses?

Any input "except Lars" is appreciated.

Shawn

HI

Yes - Haynes is confusing.
Have similar problem on mine - but it does get power - just fails to work!!
For the record, I have found that the Golf GTi/Scirocco GTi to be the same component.

It's amazing what you learn when you read the FAQ's.I found I am not getting power to the 7 pin connector on the firewall.
Looks like I got power out of the relay thank god. Also found a bad ground wire up above relay box.I wonder what that fixed.
I,m thinking of mounting my seat backwards so I can be more comfortable while tracing wires.
