Early 924 doesnt like to idle....

The car runs great above 2000rpm. Below 2000, it starts to run poorly, and eventually "runs out of gas" and dies around 1200 despite full throttle. If the throttle is closed while at rpm (say 4000), it wont even hesitate at idle, it will just shut off.

I cannot find any obvious airleaks- but I am going to keep looking. If it's not an airleak, is there anything else it could be?
