Has anyone gone to replace the rear speakers in a 924S and discovered that the factory 4x6's were mounted on adapter plates that cover a 6.5" opening? I've heard that some '87 and later cars have 6.5" openings that were covered up with an adaptor plate.

I didn't notice, but that could be what is rattling around with my new speakers. DAMN ANNOYING! they aren't blown, but they sound it. when I pull them out of the mount, they are fine. put everything back together, and they rattle. I'd fix it, but I need a new passenger side window seal.
