Follow my notes above on draining and flushing the tank, as you should now look at the fuel system for fixes (not that you shouldn't have dealt with the ignition, that is first, but you very likely have a lot of crud in the lines).
Yes, you should hear the fuel pump. No, the injectors will not click - this is CIS, continuous injection, the injectors are always spraying as long as the engine is turning over and pumping air.
You should also, when you've drained the tank, blow out the fuel line with compressed air if possible, pul in a new fuel filter, and I recommend either replacing the injectors or haveing them cleaned. I was lucky in that my fuel system was not in bad shape, but I doubt you will be. My plugs were also perfect. I got the car from another listmember, so there's the diff.
I also recommend, once all that's replaced, a full bottle of Chevron Techron FI cleaner in the tank with no more than 5 gallons of gas, so it's extra strong. After I put in the Techron, my 931, which was running rough, has been running better every time I run it. Unfortunately, all is not fantastic in my world; I have to pull the turbo as there is a massive oil leak at the oil feed line. Therefore I haven't had the opportunity to blast up and down the highway as desired, to really blow the crud out of the system.
However, putting the Techron in there will make sure to clean and lubricate the remaining components of the FI system you haven't replaced or cleaned, particularly the fuel distributor.
Good luck, hope you (and I) get to enjoy it before summer's over!
