Time: 18:24:35Did you check the battery voltage with the car running. It should be about 14.5 volts. If you only have 10.5 volts across the battery terminal with the car running, you need to check the voltage at the alternator, once again with the car running. Check from the output terminal of the alternator to the alternator case. If it is still 10.5 volts, your alternator is bad. It would not be the first time that a parts house indicated that an alternator was good when it wasn't. If you have good voltage at the alternator (14 to 15 volts) but not at the battery, with the car running, then you have a wiring problem, usually a bad ground or bad cable. If you have good voltage across the battery with the car running, but low voltage when you turn it off, you have a bad battery. A battery with one cell shorted will measure in the area of 10 volts when the car is not running. Hope this helps. Dave Russell.
