Hello, I'm wondering if any of you would be able to tell me how I can get more HP out of my '79 N/A without doing major/expensive engine work. Are there any air filters, fuel distributors, injectors, or anything of the sort that could possibly give me more desperately needed power? The engine is not running well anyways, it's running way too hot, eats oil like you wouldn't believe and idles slow upon start-up.(maybe you could help me on those too). So if I'm going to fix those problems anyways, might as well also do the bolt on thing. Thanks for your help in advance.

put some octane booster in the fuel tank, a lot of it, a couple of bottles of barbeque flme bottles and blow the hell out of the engine while you still can, this is a limited time offer. act fast before its too late and the engine isn't even running.

Seriously...rebuild the engine. And when you do that. Change the cam and the airfilter. This will perhaps give you 10 to 20 HP extra and an engine that will work without problems. It's better to have a working engine than one with more HP.
Oildrinking = Sometimes less compression = Less HP
