Thanks Vaughan. But I have more questions. I went to a breakers yard and found 944 sway bar. Then I started looking at torsion bars. The 944 is bigger, but front springs appear to be the same for 924 and 944. Is it worth fitting 944 torsion bar? It also appears that a Golf front strut cartridge will go straight in.

I would like everything to bolt in without having to modify anything.

Yes, they are A1 chassis (Golf) struts and a-arms. The only difference is the addition of mounts for swaybars on the front a-arms.

The torsion bars are a huge amount of work to install, relative to a swaybar - the car must be realigned, as the entire rear suspension must be disassembled and removed. BTDT to install 30mm rear bars in my 924. It is easier, at least for a street 924, to just install bigger swaybars. I wouldn't bother with bigger torsion bars except in a track car, unless you're like me and don't mind tearing apart the rear suspension for a couple more seconds on track. Same goes for replacing the bushings on the rear spring plates - very messy and time-consuming.

Just get bars and shocks...
