Go to the Rennlist and go to the 924-944-951 forum and read the post on the nice pic of the 924. Pay attention to the posters comment! Turbo's are faster but I wonder why at my last DE I passed three of them all with blown hoses. Just my rant and rave! I hope he was just joking! We deserve some respect!

Yeah, I read that post. Cool picture but insulting text. Most of these 951 guys seem to be fairly elitist in their views of other water-coolers... man, they're almost as bad as those 911 clowns!

I, too, regularly beat up a couple of 951's at the autocross last year with my 924S which felt great. Still, I took a drive in a buddies 89 951S with turbo mods and that car is stupid-fast. I was grinning from ear to ear so I understand why these guys think their cars are such hot sh*t... they are!

The poster was joking though but we 924 drivers have taken so much crap over the years that I'm sure we are all a little over-sensitive to jabs at our cars. I suppose that I'm just lucky that mine is a 944 undernieth and not one of those truck-motored Audis like you guys have! IT'S A JOKE!

dgz, if you use internet explorer, you can open history. It opens up on the left side of the screen. Find the page you were viewing (the url) and left click hold the button down and drag it (over here) to the post area. It automatically inserts the pages address you were viewing for others to see and all they have to do is click on it to take them there.

You can also use bbcode like Mr. Furst did above to add the link. Its all outlined in the forum faq section. Or viewable here--------------->>>>

I think the whole series was positive, someone actually took time and effort to take a pic of a 924S. You can't say much more than that.

Other than being out HP by the the 951, the 951 can be just as rough and crappy as a 924. I'm only slightly impressed by the 951, it has too many expensive problems for me to give a huge amount of praise.

J-Thanks for the tutorial! 951 cars do seem to not run well it appears from what I read in the posts. I just wasn't certain how to take the guy's comment. I guess I need to get used to the "CLASS SYSTEM"! I think all P car owners are COOL, even if it's only a HOT WHEELS! hehe I will remain proud to be a 924 owner.... D

Its gorgeous.... but the whole front end clip its sort of squarish and.... it doesnt look like mine....

How about the part right on top of the black damn(on the bottom) is that included with it the part painted body color(right on top of the black)???? If so I need one right now!!

Is that a us car? Is it totally stock aside from the air damn. Did you paint part of the air damn the body color?

That car look so good its not even funny!!!

PS. AAAH I cant find it one the website, is it for a porshe 914??? Please write back please... I got my credit card right next to me.

Thanks

AFB-The air dam is 2 piece. The top half is fiberglass and the bottom is rubber. The rubber attaches with a few screws and slips over the bottom of the fiberglass. I prepped and painted the dam myself. The whole job took around an hour excluding the prep and paint. Drilling is required and some trimming of the FG is needed but a very EZ thing to mount! It is listed as "FLEX AIRDAM" for the 924 series. Page 41 of the Performance Products catalog the part number is 911761-----The whole unit weighs in at apprx 7lbs. When you get ready to install give me a shout and I can give you some tips! Don Istook maintained this car for 90% of it's life so that would explain it's good condition! GT Racing rockers, springs and cage, cat back are up next. No chip, has throttle cam and 215-45 16 and 245-50-16 BBS Gold 3 pc wheels with Yoko's are the only non stock items. Thanx!!!
