Hi all, anyone got much experience with the 82 931 gearbox? My reverse lights come on and stay on. Does anyone know if the pin below the switch should be removable? It seems to go up and down with reverse selection - but it doesn't want to come out! New switch fitted but no effect. Suspect a deformed/damaged pin but difficult to prove without a visual inspection.

No one had a look or been there in a rebuild?

Any info greatly appreciated. Accomplished home bike mechanic here who still looks at all jobs like big meccano (anyone remember that?) but a bit intimidated by scale. And urgency of MOT!!! (A vehicular roadworthy-ness test here in the uk).
