Hello.
I've recently managed to get my Porsche 924 running after it sat for 20 years. However, I'm encountering a couple of issues

When the engine is running, the car drives, not smoothly but it drives. But when I disengage the gear or press the clutch, the engine stalls. I can restart it by rolling, but it stalls again when I stop. Adjusting the idle screw hasn't helped, and spraying brake cleaner to check for vacuum leaks showed no effect.

And another issue is that it won't start while hot, leaving me stranded until the engine cools down, but the solution to that problem in my opinion is the fact that my fuel line is not connected to the hot start value, because my older one broke, but i have ordered new ones.

So my question is to you guys, is what are some reasons to why my car wont idle that i should check.

I'd start by checking the control fuel pressure as well as residual fuel pressure. This determines the fuel mixture. My bet is that they are all way off.

This often happens because parts of the fuel system get clogged.
