You host it on an image hosting site/server.
And you just link that in your post, and put the [img] tag before the url
And the [/img] tag after.

Try this site, it does complete links you just paste into the board, just chose "BB code fully linked" when copying the image link.

Another hosting site to consider is
https://imgur.com/
It's free and fairly easy to use.
One you uploaded your pictures, click the tab for images and pull up the picture you want to post...the BB Code is there...copy that over to the message you've created on the board. The text will look like something this as you create the post....but when you hit submit (or preview) the picture will appear in the message.
