I saw this on the new arrivals page of the Denver u pull and had to do a double take

There is a complete 1980 931 with the 5 lug trashcan wheels in the Denver U-Pull and pay, the car is almost 100% complete, all of the engine bay components are present, the interior is trash, and it has all of the suspension for anyone looking to do a 5 lug swap. (as of Saturday march 29th)

I went and pulled the transmission today but I figured I’d post about it here in case anyone is looking for unubtanium or rare components

Dang. Now I'm going to have a hard time getting to sleep debating whether I need to run down to Denver and pull a bunch of parts off that. I hadn't planned a five-lug conversion, but it'd be hard to argue against it with all the parts in hand. I could also use the lower valance and left fender. It's hard to judge from just one picture, but that looks pretty sound from what I see; it's a shame to have such an intact 931 junked. But I suppose that ship has sailed... Well, if I do make the trip (560 miles), the next question would be if I could take the whole car, and if that's an option and their price is reasonable, why not. Any idea how much is left of the car?

Man, it sucks that this car ended up at this yard and not one of our hands. I spent ten minutes on the phone just to get through to a live person, only to be told "We can't tell you what's left on the car. It might be possible to buy the whole thing, but you'd have to physically go to the location just to find that out and maybe get a price on it." It's so frustrating because in the long run, it'd be worth the drive if I could be sure of what I'm getting, long as it is. I'm not sure I want to take a chance on it though; the car could be gone by the time I got there.
