Vaughn, Cedric wants me to try plasti dip to see if it does something like that but I will search the web a bit to see if I can learn more on your tip. Appreciate it!
This car has that grey Alcantera dash so I keep hoping the carbon prints turn out nice enough that I won't need a coating. For others though, I pretty much have to find something. The print before this one was straight PETG so I will sand and coat it to see how it looks
Morghen, that is the next plan but if you remember the gauge panel currently there is glued in with silicon. Its the only reason I haven't tried Will do next though.
Need to sort the wiring in all this as well. There is some extra stuff like IC pump switch and some others I have now forgotten _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

For my SC inlets i also use a ruberized paint that creates this pretty even grainy texture and feels quite nice. Its no Singer stuff, but way nicer than the 3D print layers finish.
I’ll send you some references. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I will admit wondering if I can improve this somehow but it is still a leap forward in looks and also practical as far as access to the underside of gauges. No more gluing! Was able to free the original pod, which I did quickly to test, so there was still a lot of silicon on the mating surface when I took these pics. Plus the Innovate gauge wiring and tubes are pushing it up a bit since I just shoved them in there.
Fit is really nice when I took a finger and pushed it down lightly in place. Pics have it floating 1-2 mm on the passenger side on top of some additional left over silicon.
Print of this pod isn't perfect for a couple reasons (moisture and way too high % carbon). Will be printing another with Innovate gauge farther in and VDO a bit out so they can sit on the same plane
