***Moved to the right place***
Hi everyone, I'm taking my first steps in fixing a few things around the car, a –new to me– 924 from 1979, The problem is my mechanical knowledge is, at least for now, almost nonexistent, but I'm determined to change that.
I'm currently dealing with a recurring problem with the headlights. They go up instantly, but they take some time to go down unless you use the manual switch on the engine bay.
At this very same forum, I found the different solutions/problems I'm facing, for now, fuses seem ok, as the connectors of the motor, so I think it's time to look at the relay.

My question is, I have been looking for a replacement relay, it needs to be exactly the same relay, with exactly the same specs?
I'm asking not just because the original parts are kind of expensive but also because in my search for a replacement, I have noticed that some motors I saw mount different-looking relays.
I have a relay with 20/30A, the same circuits, etc, but not sure if I can just replace it or if I need to go with the original.

Thanks for your help and sorry if it's a too obvious question. _________________ 924 - 79' |
