I just put a spare used one on eBay and it sold instantly for 100. Crazy money for a relay.
Are they completely NLA now? |

I don't think they're completely abandoned, but forgotten for the time being with supply chains still a mess. I was lucky to get a couple used ones from a user here for $50 or so in unknown condition; one worked, thankfully. It seems they're somewhat failure-prone. Mine had a plain relay in the socket when I got it and no correct relay to be found, so apparently it failed at some point in the past. I was going to see if I could adapt a VW relay I picked up, but didn't get anywhere on that before I found a correct replacement. There may be a direct interchange with some VWs, but those relays are hard to find too... _________________ 1980 931 diamond in the rough |

They've been difficult to find for a couple of years now. I picked up spare KAE 3.300.300 from a Board member back in Oct 2021 after searching high and low for one.
There's one on Ebay listed for $369(!). https://www.ebay.com/itm/266721765255
The description is the best part....it's either working or defective....take your chances...

Its crazy, not many years ago they were available and still reasonable. Maybe that group buy for a soild stade relay that never went through should be resurrected, the interest might be bigger now that the regular relays arent available. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

I was searching around and came across this listing on Ebay. Interesting.

Don't know. Found their website here: https://norx-electronics.hu/
Decided to buy one on Ebay and try it out. I have one good fuel pump relay and one relay where the soldering failed. I soldered it back together...and it works...but don't entirely trust it to be my backup. I also have a wire to jump the relay just in case but would prefer to have a new relay in the glove box.
Will report back...will take a couple of weeks to get here apparently. _________________ 1981 Porsche 931 w/S1 engine & g31 transmission. Water-cooled intercooler |
