According to the wiring diagrams for 1980 931
the power to the radio ties into the seat belt/door alarm. Currently I have no power to the radio and alarm will go off only if I press in on the key/ignition. When I get the alarm to sound I have power to the Radio.
The question is: Do I have to replace the ignition switch? or what?? |

You got it. The ignition switch - just the internal plastic part needs replacement. You can get a white plastic or black plastic one. The black plastic one is more durable and costs more. I had the same problem with mine - you had to push the key in to get the radio to work.
