well i gave up on this quest as absolutely no one is interested in it. kennedy has no interest in helping with parts nor does renegade. so im just going to spend my xmas turboing my car. if it works ill drive it until it blows up if it doesnt im going to put a m44 in it and just have a brown 924s. i sure do like balance shafts!

Yes, slap on a turbo and efi system, did that to mine this year. _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

which efi did you use? i like k-jet but it would be nice to have a simple map sensor instead of the plumbing nightmare of kjet. i have been experimenting with a aluminum spool welder and i could easily close up the throttle body flange and add a 944 throttle body to the front of the plenum. would make routing a intercooler even cleaner. _________________ ive saved alot of 924's

I use MaxxECU Street, should have used the larger sport for more inputs and outputs. Its nice to have oiltemp, oil pressure, egt, boost control etc.
Using mapp, tps , crank and cam sensors and air temp as control inputs.
Coolant pressure would have been nice but all inputs är taken!
I think welding cast aluminium, especially old castings, would be very hard with a MIG. When TIGing you can weld on a piece for a long time only purging junk before you can add material and do the actual welding. _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

turbo install done, tuned at 6 psi and i love it!. honestly cant believe how easy it was to get really good afr's using the 931 WUR. i even did a few runs at around 12 psi and it hauled ass but afr's were getting into low 11's and i could tell i was losing spark at that rich mixture. since i want to actually drive this car hard on twisty roads i will keep it as the safe and reliable 6 psi. although i will likely dyno it at a few different boost levels just to see the difference. as it is it feels fast enough. heres a link to some build stuff on the facebook group

the videos were prior to swapping the stock NA WUR for the 931 so the AFR's are a bit wacky but still good enough to daily. _________________ ive saved alot of 924's

Cool, please share more pics of the setup that would be fun to see. AFR11 is actually what the stock 931 runs at. I've run it as low as afr 10, no misfires, but acceleration felt noticeable softer. But the 931 s2 pistons are probably better for getting combustion stability with that big squish band. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo
