I just replaced the hatch seal. After looking through forum posts I was a bit confused as to whether I'd get a loop of seal, which I'd either have to cut or remove the hatch struts to apply without cutting, and whether I'd need to seal the seal with adhesive. So I'm here to advise that you spring for the genuine Porsche article, part no 477-827-037. Yes , some may consider it a bit pricey - $113 from Pelican - but I think worth it. It comes as a strip, length, whatever - not a loop. It comes with a bead of adhesive already in place. It goes on very easily and fits perfectly. I just had to trim about 3in off the length.
