I made my own GTS-like injection including the FrankenCIS setup for <$1,000 probably, including WB, sensors, MS, Fuel Distributor, lines/fittings etc..
But a lot of custom fab work..
I already did a FrankenCIS install so their may be a lot of things I could help you out with, like installing sensors and getting your tach pickup working and stuff like that specific to the 931, if you ask..
I saw you posted in the 300hp thread..
I think you can make 300 without all of those fancy mittelmotor GTS parts if you come up with enough injection to spray it, head gasket and ARPs to hold it, a big enough turbo to blow it, and a good enough intercooler to cool it, is basically all you need for 300 imo..
I'm tuning my way up there with basically those ingredients and is going well.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Mittelmotor in Germany sell all the engine parts to recreate GTS spec motor. Pistons, head, IC, fuel system. And all parts re create a GTS historique race car.
Recreated Body parts can be bought in Europe
A guy in Sweden built from scratch a GTS FIA historique rally car. Quite impressive
Finding genuine parts ......... good luck. As for prices on genuine parts. Very hard to even guess as they never come up for sale. And if they do, they probably change hands between the Porsche illuminati. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

"...change hands between the Porsche illuminati."
What a brilliant line! My hat's off to you for that one!!!
Sourcing the original parts will be quite a task and if you are fixated on that you will need to be prepared to pay quite a hefty sum in my opinion. If you were to find, for instance, an original hood I would venture to guess it may cost 5 to 10 times the cost of an aftermarket piece. And that's if you know the secret handshake and magic words to get through the door. But, I could be wrong.
Other than that, engine wise consider that if your budget allows, sometimes it's better not to re-invent the wheel and just purchase proven parts that will get the job done.
However having said that, there's also something to be said for embarking on an adventure of making up your own system if you have the time, talent and passion to do so. One of the advantages here is that one just may gain a wealth of knowledge due to the inevitable trial and error circumstances that are bound to occur.
Good Luck! _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

Unless you are rebuilding a genuine GTS or GTR you don’t need genuine parts. They were rare in the day. They are rarer now. Those with any of the original parts don’t sell them on bay of fleas. There is a high end Porsche collector network out there and workshops that cater for the high end collector car and that high end client. and if you are in that club you find the right person with those super rare parts in their stash. We don’t get a look in.
Plenty of ways to build a GTS or GTR replica with new replica parts. Some things may need to be made from scratch by specialists. Still cheaper and easier than sourcing a rare part made for less than 60 car’s back in the day. Those parts were never “off the shelf” in the first place. They were Porsche Racing skunksworks parts out of Weissach race division. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

The January 2020 issue of PCA Panorama Magazine has an article about the 924 GTR, specifically chassis 009. The article mentions that "we brought it to Britec Motorsports, who serviced it and changed what needed changing."
Seems like they might know something.
